Q:Who should join the GRID partner program? A:The GRID partner program is aimed at software vendors who want to have their products security classified.
Q:Why should I/my company join the GRID partner program? A:By joining the GRID partner program, you proactively avoid costly support calls and tainted reputation when antivirus programs mistake your product as malware.
Q:How can I join the GRID partner program? A: You can register as a GRID partner. Register here.
Q:Are there any costs or fees? A:No, the GRID partner program is fully free.
Q:What happens after I have applied a GRID partner account? A:After your application a TREND MICRO employee will contact you to approve your account.
Q:Can I log-in before my account was approved? A:No, only entitled users may use the GRID partner program.
Q:What can I do once my account is approved? A:Please log-in to the GRID Partner Portal and follow the instructions given on the homepage. Then you can upload files to the GRID and check the processing status of submitted files.
Q:I forgot my password, how can get a new one? A:Please send us a request to reset your password using our contact form. Make sure you enter the same email address as used to login at the GRID Partner Portal.
Q:Are there other ways of submitting files than the described ones? A:Yes, you can alternatively apply for the GRID partner program here. Then you will be contacted by a TREND MICRO employee, giving you further details on how to submit your files. Please note that you then won't be able to use the GRID Partner Portal.

FAQ - Raw File Submission

Q:Why is the portal no longer accepting compressed files like .zip, .rar, or .7z? A:This change is being made to improve system security and ensure faster, more efficient processing of uploaded files. Compressed files can sometimes contain hidden or malicious content, so we are moving to direct file uploads only.
Q:When will this change take effect? A:The new file submission rules will take effect on October 1, 2025.
Q:What file formats can I upload after the change? A:You can upload files in any format except compressed file types, including: .zip, .rar, .7z, .tar, .gz, .bz2, .xz, .tar.gz, .tar.bz2, .iso, .rpm, .deb
Q:Can I still upload multiple files at once? A:Yes, but each file must be uploaded separately. You can select multiple files in the file chooser, and they will be uploaded individually.
Q:I have many files to send. How can I make the process easier without compressing them? A: For a quick guide on how to do this, please refer to our instructions here.
Q:What happens if I try to upload a compressed file after October 1, 2025? A:The system will reject the upload and display an error message.
